yesterday WUJS took us to a spa in the middle of nowhere that had big warm pools inside and outside and we just lounged around all day. I got to meet and hold Jonathan's 3 month old baby who came to visit so his big brother (who's about 3 maybe) could play in the pools, and we ate ice cream and other sweets and basically could have been at disneyland for all the hard work we were doing.

Tonight there is something of an Open Mic (it's not really that but I'm not sure what else to call it) and then tomorrow is the graduation for the people who are done with WUJS...and then....Egypt!

I am so so so so jealous!

OH, MY GOD! I am so incredibly jealous of your egypt trip! I have Always wanted to go there, and it sounds... amazing! My one piece of advice is that on your itinerary it leaves Hatshepsut's temple as optional... I would definitely make it a point to see that. It's one of the most unique and interesting buildings in all egypt. It is HUGe, for one thing, and has collumns like a greek temple. Her tomb is part of the same complex,a dn their both pretty breathtaking. The really cool part, though, is that Hatshepsut, after her reign as the first female Pharoah, was considered something of a heretic or embarassment, and the next pharaoh, her nephew, I think, defaced her temple and tried to get rid of evidence that she was female... so you can see the original statues with 2000-year-old graffiti on them or 2000-year-old chisel marks erasing her name. There are still some statues of her wearing the beards that were typical of pharoahs, which I think is great. Anyway... see Hatshepsut's temple, so I can live vicariously through you!
I hope the trip is fabulous, and that you have a great time.
HUG!
